The Physics Department is located in Wean Hall on the Carnegie Mellon University main campus in the Oakland district of Pittsburgh. Most likely you will approach Wean Hall from Forbes Avenue, from there head for the tallest building in sight. Unlike other campus building it is made of concrete not brick. All members of the astrophysics group have offices on the 8th floor. When exiting the elevators turn left. Our main departmental office is Wean Hall 7325. Our main phone number is (412) 268-2740. Due to construction, it is currently very difficult to get to the only car accessible entrance (that on the first floor) to Wean Hall. Please call your host in advance (see the directory for phone numbers) to get more information. If you are a hosted (paid for!) visitor, then please contact your host before making travel arrangements. We can arrange for prepayments for flights, airport transfers, parking and hotels.
